Nursing Administration in Thailand 4.0: Critical Decision-Making of Nursing Leaders

Abstract

The development process of Thailand, according to the Thailand 4.0 model corresponds to the 20-year national strategy leading to the results for having a better quality of life among Thai people. There is equality in society to where Thailand can also compete in the global economy. The development of health systems and public health personnel is considered as one of the most important mechanisms for driving this national strategy. This academic article discusses nursing management according to the Thailand 4.0 model and The Vroom-Yetton-Jago Decision Model related to critical judgment of nursing leaders. It can be a guideline for nursing administrators at various levels who keep pace with the policies and trends of national development, including changes in health systems. This concept would be a practical view to change as a challenge and can be applied for working in nursing administration in modern and effective ways. It should be beneficial for both health service users and service providers.
