Focus and Scope
The journal has a policy to publish high-quality articles in the fields of social sciences, sociology, humanities, anthropology, political science, public administration, law, management science, business administration, economics, education, religion, philosophy, linguistics, applied studies, including other social sciences as well. The target groups are faculty members, students and researchers both inside and outside the institution.
The journal employs a double-blind review process, in which authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other throughout the process.

Journal of Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University ISSN 2697-4681 E-ISSN 2697-469X was established in 2014 by Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, Thailand.
Formerly known as "Journal of Research for Social and Community Development, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University" Published 2 issues a year (6 months per issue).
- 2014 Established the name “Journal of Research for Social and Community Development, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University” with Associate Professor Dr. Prasopsuk Rittidej as the editor.
- In 2017, the name of the journal was changed to "Journal of Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University” with Associate Professor Dr. Sanya Kenaphoom as the editor.
- 2018 was certified in the TCI database (Thai-Journal Citation Index Center)

Plagiarism policy
The Journal of Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University is part of the Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI) database which has a CopyCatch system for plagiarism checking. All manuscripts submitted for publication will be reviewed for plagiarism within 24 hours, if plagiarism is identified by the editors. editors and article reviewers, etc., at any stage of the article before or after the review process by the article reviewer in that case. We will notify authors of requests for revisions of articles or citations that have been copied. If more than 10% of the content is copied, the article may be recommended for rewriting or rejected and notified to the author immediately.
Article Assessment Policy
Research articles and all types of articles published in the Journal of Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University will be reviewed by experts with relevant expertise. The screening process uses a two-way blind method with experts evaluating at least two out of three articles. The selection of experts is important to the publication process, which considers a number of factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations, conflicts of interest, and past performance, speed, thoroughness. , Reasonable discretion, and friendliness. The evaluation process should not involve direct contact between the author and the reviewer, with the editor as the medium of communication.
Peer Review Process
Every article must be reviewed by at least two expert peer reviewers in such a way that the peer and author do not know each other's names (double-blind review). The process of considering an article for publication in the Journal of Research and Development Institute, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University consists of 5 steps as follows:
- A manuscript assessed by editors (1 week): The editors will check the submitted manuscripts as follow format, readability, language, plagiarism (no more than 10%), sufficiency and credibility of references, reference writing style, as well as the arrangement of the citation against the Author’s Guidelines. Any wrong arrangement of the citation, excessive redundancy, and repetition will result in the manuscripts being rejected. Then, will inform the author for further acknowledgment
- Peer reviewing (1-2 weeks): Throughout the review process, the journal uses a double-blind review. After the manuscripts pass the first step, will be assessed by at least three reviewers. The assessment results are divided into four categories: ‘accept’, ‘accept with minor revision’, ‘accept with major revision’ and ‘reject.’
- Notification of peer reviewing results (1 week): After accepting the manuscripts which have passed the screening stage from reviewers, the editors will reconsider and finalize the results. Only manuscripts passing with ‘accept’, or ‘accept with minor revision’ will be passed to the next step. Those with ‘accept with major revision’ will be carefully reconsidered by the editors. Those with ‘reject’ results will not be published in the journal.
- Revision (1-3 weeks): At this stage, when receiving the manuscripts back, the authors have to respond to reviewers’ suggestions and those of the editors (if applicable) and make necessary corrections. Also, they have to inform of revision. Then, the authors have to return both the revised manuscripts and the completed form to the editors within a specific deadline.
- Reviewing the revision (1 week): After receiving the submitted revised manuscripts, the editors will check whether the authors successfully address the reviewers’ and the editors’ comments or suggestions. If the revised manuscripts pass this stage, the editors will deem the manuscripts accepted for publication and send them to the publishing process.
