In the era of competition both in the business world and in the government sector, it is obvious that organizations cannot be led to success if conventional concepts or methods of administration are solely applied. It is important for public administrators and business executives to find the new management concepts for organization’s competitiveness enhancement and prosperity. It is also necessary that managers must utilize superior management tactics and improve their agility to adjust to keep up with the competitors in the changing environment. Dealing with such tasks, Strategic Management can be considered as one way to help executives determine the direction of the administration. By analyzing the environment, both inside and outside the organization, Strategic Management will provide managers the tools for strategy selection, as well as evaluation process and quality control that are appropriate for the organization.
