Abstract

The efficiency comparisons with DC and DC Pulse power supply in electro-coagulation process. Two power supply types used to reduce 51.90 NTU, and 19.94 NTU water turbidities is normal DC source and DC with Pulse function source. Its use for compare effect result of 250 mL water turbidity removal, in electro-coagulation process. From the experimental setup for both power supplies by fixed current at 25 mA, each water sample was classified into 2 discharging times at 5 and 15 minutes to evaluate turbidity changes. The most effective result was found at 15 minutes discharge, 3 hours settling time, the efficiency of normal DC power supply is 97.31% and DC Pulse power supply is 99.46%. The efficiency of DC Pulse power supply is higher than normal DC Power supply, and it’s properly to use for the electro-coagulation process.
