บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ใช้ระเบียบการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1.ศึกษาพัฒนาการของศิลปะหมากรุกไทย และ2.ศึกษาวิเคราะห์คุณค่าของศิลปะหมากรุกไทย โดยมีกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ (Key Informant) แบ่งเป็น 3 กลุ่มคือ กลุ่มที่ 1 ผู้เผยแพร่และพัฒนา ศิลปะหมากรุกไทย กลุ่มที่ 2 ผู้เล่นหมากรุกไทยเพื่อความเป็นเลิศ (ระดับชั้นแนวหน้าที่มีผลงานในระดับประเทศ) และกลุ่มที่ 3 ผู้เล่นหมากรุกไทยเพื่อการพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ จากพื้นที่ศึกษาซุ้มหมากรุกองค์พระปฐมเจดีย์ จังหวัดนครปฐม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ เอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง หลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ที่เป็นวัตถุ ภาพถ่าย และการศึกษาภาคสนามผลของการวิจัยพบว่า

1. พัฒนาการของศิลปะหมากรุกไทยในประเทศไทยมีการเล่นมาอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่สมัยสุโขทัยจนถึงปัจจุบัน จากหลักฐานการค้นพบตัวหมากรุกสังคโลก ตัวหมากรุกเคลือบจากแหล่งเวียงกาหลงซึ่งอยู่ในสมัยสุโขทัย บันทึกของนายตูรแปงซึ่งเข้ามาเมืองไทยสมัยพระนารายณ์ ได้บันทึกว่าคนไทยนิยมเล่นหมากรุกกันอย่างแพร่หลาย และในวรรณคดีไทยเรื่องต่างๆที่มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการเล่นหมากรุกเช่นเรื่อง ขุนช้างขุนแผน ไชยเชษฐ์ รามเกียรติ์ และอิเหนา เป็นต้น นอกจากนั้นวิธีคิดหรือกลยุทธ์ของหมากรุกด้วยกลถอยเอาชนะนั้นมีส่วนช่วยปกป้องประเทศชาติในสมัยธนบุรีรบกับกองทัพพม่า ต่อมาในยุคปัจจุบันพบว่ากลุ่มผู้เล่นหมากรุกไทยนั้นมักจะรวมตัวกันเล่นเป็นซุ้มหรือกลุ่ม และยังได้มีผู้พัฒนาโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ให้สามารถเล่นแบบออนไลน์ อีกด้วย

2. ผลการศึกษาวิเคราะห์คุณค่าของศิลปะหมากรุกไทย แบ่งออกได้เป็น 3 ด้าน คือ

1. ภูมิปัญญาในการสร้างหมากรุกไทย 2. คุณค่าของศิลปะหมากรุกไทยที่มีต่อบุคคล 4 ด้าน คือ (2.1) ด้านร่างกาย (2.2) ด้านจิตใจหรืออารมณ์ (2.3) การดำเนินชีวิตประจำวัน และการใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับผู้อื่นในสังคม (2.4) การพัฒนาสติปัญญาและการฝึกความคิดในการวางแผนอย่างเป็นระบบ และ 3.คุณค่าของศิลปะหมากรุกไทยที่มีต่อสังคมได้แก่ (3.1) คุณค่าด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่เป็นกิจกรรมนันทนาการที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของไทย (3.2) คุณค่าด้านภาษาและวัฒนธรรม จากสำนวนและวรรณคดีที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศิลปะการเล่นหมากรุกไทย (3.3) คุณค่าด้านศิลปกรรม จากศิลปะการแสดงหมากรุกคน.

Abstract

This research study based on the methodologies of qualitative research purposed to 1. Education Development of Mak Ruk Thai Arts or The art of playing Thai Chess in Thailand. And 2. To study analyzes of values into Mak Ruk Thai Arts which have key Informants divided into 3 groups as was the 1st group is publisher and developer Mak Ruk Thai,2nd group is Mak Ruk Thai excellece players who highly performance in top of thailand), and 3rd group is Thai chess player for recreation from the area study is in Phra Pathom Chedi Nakhon Pathom Pagoda of Mak Ruk Thai Player‘s group. The tools used in research are documents related to Thai chess with books in related field ,evidence empirical material ,photos and study in field research.The results research found that.

1. Development of Mak Ruk Thai Arts in Thailand has been playing continuously from Sukhothai Aged to date from found the green enamel chess that claimed as artistic Sukhothai school .The record of Mr.Trupang, who came to Thailand in the great Narai king (Ayutthaya Aged) which recorded that Thai people popular in Mak Ruk Thai. And Thai literature have related content to play chess inserted such as Khun-Chang-Khun-Phane and ,Chai-ya-chet,Ramayana and E-Nhow . In addition, the strategy of chess with counter attact strategy that help Thailand to escape the war with Burma armies. Nowadays found that the players associate to set a club of the players. And also that have programmer who develop of a computer program which able to play Thai chess online too.

2. The study analyzes the value of Mak Ruk Thai Arts is divided into 3 phases are.

1. Value inside of playing Mak Ruk Thai Arts . 2.Valuable to personal the 4 sides are (2.1) To body. (2.2) The mind or emotions. 2.3)The everyday life and live with others in society. (2.4)The development of intelligence, training and ideas for planning a system. And 3. The value to society, including (3.1) The value of arts and culture is a unique recreational in Thailand. (3.2) The value of language and culture related to ancient literature (3.3) The value of Mak Ruk Thai performing Arts.
