Abstract
หุ่นยนต์เข้ามามีบทบาทในชีวิตประจ าวันและในการทำงานขององค์กรมากขึ้น ห้องสมุดมีการนำหุ่นยนต์ติดตั้งอยู่กับที่ (Fixed robot) มาใช้เพื่อการจัดเก็บและค้นคืนทรัพยากรสารสนเทศ การสแกนหน้าหนังสือแบบอัตโนมัติ ขณะที่หุ่นยนต์เคลื่อนที่ได้ (Mobile robot) ก็มีการนำมาใช้เพื่อสำรวจชั้นหนังสือ เล่านิทาน เป็นเพื่อนกับเด็กที่เข้ามาใช้ห้องสมุด สามารถสื่อสารได้หลายภาษา และให้บริการตอบคำถามเพื่อช่วยการค้นคว้า ขณะเดียวกันการพัฒนานวัตกรรมหุ่นยนต์เพื่อช่วยในงานห้องสมุดก็ยังคงมีการศึกษาวิจัยอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อให้หุ่นยนต์มีความสามารถมากขึ้นตรงกับความต้องการของผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดและบรรณารักษณ์
Robots and Libraries
Robots have increasingly played a significant role in our life and work organization. Libraries use fixed robots in order to automated storage and retrieve information resources. Automatic book scanners in mobile robots are introduced to
libraries to navigate and scan library shelves for misplaced books, tell story and befriend children, communicate effectively in different languages, and give the reference services. The robotic innovations used in libraries have continuously developed to increase the capability of robots and have direct responses to the users.
