ทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 ของนักศึกษาพยาบาล ในวิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนี ชลบุรี

บทคัดย่อ

          ทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 เป็นทักษะที่มีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องพัฒนาให้มีในพยาบาลเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของโลกแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 งานวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้ศึกษาทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 ของนักศึกษาพยาบาลวิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนีชลบุรี เพื่อเป็นข้อมูลในการพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนการสอน กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักศึกษาพยาบาลศาสตร์ ชั้นปีที่ 1 ถึง 4 จำนวน 517 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคือแบบสอบถามทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 ที่คณะผู้วิจัยพัฒนาขึ้น ประกอบด้วย การเรียนรู้ 3R x 7C โดย 3R คือ การอ่าน การเขียน และคณิตศาสตร์ และ 7C ได้แก่ทักษะ1) ด้านการคิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณและการแก้ปัญหา 2) ด้านการสร้างสรรค์และนวัตกรรม 3) ด้านความเข้าใจความต่างวัฒนธรรมต่างกระบวนทัศน์ 4) ด้านความร่วมมือ การทำงานเป็นทีม และภาวะผู้นำ 5) ด้านการสื่อสาร สารสนเทศและรู้เท่าทันสื่อ 6) ด้านคอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร 7) ด้านอาชีพและทักษะการเรียนรู้ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และทดสอบความแตกต่างรายคู่ของ Scheffe ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 โดยรวม ของนักศึกษาพยาบาล อยู่ในระดับดีทุกชั้นปียกเว้นชั้นปีที่ 1 อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ทักษะด้านการอ่านและด้านการเขียน เป็นด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนต่ำที่สุด ในทุกชั้นปี (x= 3.07-3.54, SD = 0.45-0.64) โดยเฉพาะการอ่านและเขียนภาษาอังกฤษพบว่าต่ำกว่าข้ออื่นๆ  ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนสูงกว่าด้านอื่นๆ ได้แก่ด้านความเข้าใจความต่างวัฒนธรรมต่างกระบวนทัศน์ ด้านอาชีพและทักษะการเรียนรู้ และด้านคอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร (x= 3.99-4.35, SD = 0.53-0.63;  x= 4.05-4.28, SD = 0.41-0.49; และx= 4.21-4.31, SD = 0.47-0.57 ตามลำดับ) ผลการทดสอบความแตกต่างพบว่าทักษะโดยรวมของนักศึกษาในแต่ละชั้นปีมีความแตกต่างกัน โดยนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 มีทักษะสูงกว่าชั้นปี ที่ 3, 2, และ 1 ตามลำดับ  ดังนั้นจึงควรพัฒนารูปแบบการเรียนการสอนเพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 อย่างเป็นระบบ

Twenty First Century Skills of Nursing Students of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Chonburi*

Abstract

         Twenty first century skills have become essential for all professionals. Nurses, as one of the most important group of health personnel are needed to be prepared to obtain skills crucial for the requirements of the 21st century context. This descriptive study was conducted to investigate 21st century skills of nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Chonburi. The sample was composed of 517 students from years 1 to 4. A self-administered questionnaire developed by the researchers based on Trilling and Fadel’s framework including 3Rs-Reading, (w)Riting, (a)Rithmetic) and 7Cs-1) Critical Thinking and Problem Solving; 2) Creativity and Innovation; 3) Cross-cultural Understanding; 4) Collaboration, Teamwork and Leadership; 5) Communications, Information, and Media Literacy; 6) Computing and Information Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy; and 7 Career and Learning Skills. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, F-test, and Scheffe post-hoc comparisons. The main results revealed that the mean scores of overall 21st century skills of the nursing students were high except that of the first year students, which was moderate. The mean scores of Reading and Writing skills were rated lowest in all levels of students (= 3.07-3.54, SD = 0.45-64) especially for the items of reading and writing English. Highest scores fell into the categories of Cross-cultural Understanding, Career and Learning Skills, and Computing and ICT Literacy (= 3.99-4.35, SD = 0.53-0.63; = 4.05-4.28, SD = 0.41-0.49; and = 4.21-4.31, SD = 0.47-0.57 respectively). The results also showed differences in skills among the students from different years of study. The total skill score of senior students was found to be higher than those of years 3, 2, and 1 respectively. Therefore, instructional strategies should be systematically redesigned in a way that promotes the 21st century skills.
