Application of Geo-Information Technology for Distributing Tourism Information of Muangsingh Historical Park, Kanchanaburi Province

Abstract

This research aims to conduct 3D models, photo 360º, videos of attractions presentation of Muangsingh Historical Park and distribute all information via website. Firstly, the process started by measuring width, length, height and coordinate of historical site. Subsequently, Google SketchUp was applied for sketching structure of historical site referred from the survey. Secondly, Google Street View was used on mobile phone for taking 360º photos of fifteen attractions. Thirdly, videos of fifteen attractions were made and the narrations of history and information of each were added. Lastly, a website was created to publish information.


            The results shown the 3D models from Google SketchUp can be presented and adjusted the directions of view as desired and the models are accurate as the determined scale. Meanwhile, the users are able to adjust the views of photos 360º and they can watch videos of 15 attractions with voice and narrations. Website was divided into four menus namely, history, 3D models, photo 360º and videos. The tourists and the others can access the website as https://muangsing.890m.com for planning a travel trip and studying the history of Mueangsingh Historical Park.
