Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to investigate the quality of working life of sub-district municipality employees in Yala, 2) to compare the quality of working life of the sub-district municipality employees in Yala based on personal characteristics. The population of this study was the municipal employees who worked in 13 sub-district municipality offices within Yala. The sample was the municipal employees who worked in sub-district municipality offices within Yala, using the Yamane formula at the error level of 0.05 that gained 127 samples, using simple random sampling, and using a questionnaire as a tool for collecting data. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and f-test. They were found that 1) the quality of working life of the sub-district municipality employees in Yala in overall was at a moderate level and when considering each aspect, 3 aspects were at high level, and 5 aspects were at moderate level. The sub-district municipality employees gave opinions on the employee potential development at most, followed by The pride in organization, Social relation,  Safety working environment that was not harmful to health, Condition of independence from work, Progression, Management characteristics, and Fair and sufficient compensation, respectively. 2) The comparison of the differences between personal factor and opinions on quality of working life, it was found that the opinions on the quality of working life of the sub-district municipality employees in Yala with different gender, age, marital status, education level, position, period of employment, and the monthly income were not statistically significant difference at the .05 level.
