The “ELECTRIC CHARGE ARENA GAME”:A Gamification for Learning in an Electric Charges and the Coulomb Forceon Smart Devices

Abstract

We have designed and created the digital game that combined the charge and Coulomb force; called “ELECTRIC CHARGE ARENA GAME”, which can be used in modern communication devices. There should be a tool to enhance student-centered learning skills. since it was merged the factors that stimulate learning by nature. The studying through the game style will make players enjoyable from learning the rules. Players must understand the purpose, accept, and respect the outcome of the game. A struggle to solve problems in the game will motivate and inspire students’ creativity. The "ELECTRIC CHARGE ARENA GAME" was built by the Unity3D which followed the physics of electrostatic charges and Coulomb’s law. The game was designed for high school level. At the final stage of the game, it has included the series of practical tests while the game was played as well as quizzes after the playing game was terminate. It was evaluated by 30 high school students with simple random selection and a satisfaction questionnaire on the game. The statistics used in the analysis are mean value, standard deviation and percentage to verify the media efficiency and satisfaction levels. It was found that the efficiency of The "ELECTRIC CHARGE ARENA GAME" has achieved E1/E2 is 82.33/80.67, which is 80 /80 effective level and the level of player satisfaction is very high.
