Development of Experimental Set on Color Light Mixing for High School Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop color light mixing for high school students and to study light mixing of red light, green light and blue light using RGB Color Picker in smart phone to measure RGB color value. The result found that experimental set consist of black box was used as dark room, light source from red flash light, green flash light and blue flash light, using white paper as screen. From experiment found that light from red flash light with RGB value (255, 57, 0), light from green flash light with RGB value (0, 254, 0), light from blue flash light with RGB value (0, 24, 191), when red light mix with green light will get yellow light with RGB value (240, 240, 0), red light mixing with blue light will get magenta light have RGB value (254, 168, 254), green light mixing with blue light will get cyan light with, RGB value (0, 254, 241) and mixing red light green light blue light altogether will get white light have RGB value (255, 255, 255). Furthermore, the experimental set on color light mixing was evaluated by experts teaching physics, its quality was in a very good level (4.93).
