Technology Transfer for Adoption of Social Innovation

Developing countries or underdeveloped countries have realized the importance of technology transfer provided by industrial countries to their countries that have had agriculture as their major income in order to improve their countries to be in the same level with those industrial countries. To transfer technology from one country to another country, there are several factors involved for both transferor and transferee. Those factors are significant for either failure or success of technology transfer.

Their industrial sector has been able to approach novel knowledge and technologies efficiently under the low cost compared with other guidelines. There are several researches proposing guidelines that can integrate benefits of industrial sector with those of universities properly. Under the cooperation between industrial sector and universities, the first party is able to reduce the cost and risk on In-House R&D creation requiring high amount of investment as well as able to approach universities’ personnel with required abilities, for example. Simultaneously, educational institutions have currently created several researches, included with those conducted by students and those conducted by teachers, on all sizes of industrial sector as well as research fund from external and internal organizations. However, most innovations obtained from those researches have not been published to industrial markets properly compared with all existing researches on innovations of educational institutions.

Consequently, several innovations obtained from researches in Thailand should be improved for adding value as shown in the statement stated that completed researches of today world should not be kept as academic texts solely but they should be published for ultimate benefits and to meet with their target groups for further development. To develop innovations, technology development researches for developing the form of innovation to meet with the value on manufacturing and marketing expansion are the key by utilizing the form of participatory on technology transfer of the community in order to improve the value of technology researches conducted in educational institutions.
