THE STUDY OF SCIENCE LEARNING CONCEPT OF MATAYOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS BY 5 STEPs METHOD WITH COACHING AND CONTEMPLATIVE EDUCATION

Abstract

This research was a semi-experimental research. The objective was to compare science learning concept of Mathayomsuksa 2 students between before and after learning through a 5STEPs learning management together with coaching and contemplative education. Sample was 40 students of class no.2/4 in academic year 2/2561, Wat Aiyikaram School, Patumthani province. The research instruments consisted of (1) six science learning management plan in unit of learning on various systems in the human body and animals, (2) 15 items of science learning concept test which was a multiple choice test in unit of learning on various systems in the human body and animals with reliability at 0.75, difficulty between 0.42-0.70 and discrimination between 0.00-0.50. The collected data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation and hypothesis testing with dependent t-test. The research found that students had science learning concept scores after learning through 5STEPs together with coaching and contemplative education higher than before learning 5STEPs together with coaching and contemplative education with statistical significance at .05 level.
