Abstract

The purposes of this article were  (1) to study the context of social capital and community business context and (2) to create suggestions for using social capital to drive community business. In Lamet Subdistrict, Chaiya District, Surat Thani Province.  This study was a documentary research.


            The findings were as follows: 


            The context of social capital Summarized as follows: (1) Human capital, including formal leaders Natural leader and the people who live in the community. (2) Physical capital which is community context, nearby community context and infrastructure (3) Wisdom capital which is valuable thinking systems or sets of knowledge that are transferred from generation to generation and having identity and (4) kinship relations, which include caring for one another mutual trust helping each other and reciprocation.


            The context of community business Summarized as follows Community business is an activity that involves the integration of villagers in the community, and rely mainly on local production factors is an activity that is both production, and a supportive management Suitable for life as well as the ecosystem of each community by aiming for all members to participate in every step, and to enable the villagers to be ready to be self-reliant with efficiency.


            Guidelines for using social capital to drive community business, will use human capital as the capital to drive, using wisdom capital to create value through the product by relying on physical capital, and kinship relations, which is a capital that is conducive to doing business in the community. To be a capital to support the driving.
