THE COMMUNICATION FOR PERSONALITY AND SOLUTIONS TO THE IMAGE OF STAR ARTISTS IN CRISIS IN THE MEDIA

Abstract

The research had two purposes: 1) To study how to communicate good personality of the star artists when appearing to the media, and 2) to examine the guidelines for solutions to the images of star artists in the media crisis.  The research was qualitative, using in-depth interviews with eight star artists facing the image crisis, and one artist manager.  The data was analyzed and presented with descriptive analysis. 


The results showed that to communicate good personality of the star artists when appearing in the media was 1) to dress with appropriate clothing 2) have a sense of self, be sincere, and no pretending 3) to have good manner, respect, and friendliness and 4) to maintain a level of consistency.  As for guidelines for the solutions to the images of star artists in the media crisis, 1) star artists used a silence tactic, and no excuses 2) organizations, managers and star artists attended the press conference, and 3) star artists used social media as an image deal.
