THE DEVELOPMENT OF PREPARATION CURRICULUM FOR ANALYTICAL THINKING FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD AT SIRIRATWITTHAYAKHAN SCHOOL UNDER THE OFFICE OF SAKONNAKHON PRIMARY EDUCATION AREA 1

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) develop an analytical thinking preparation course for early childhood and 2) find the effectiveness of the analytical thinking preparation course for early childhood at SiriratWitthayakhan School Under the office of SakonNakhon Primary Educational Service Area 1 This research is divided into two phases. Phase 1, which is curriculum development, comprises of three steps which are (1) study of basic information, (2) outline the curriculum and (3) assess and improve the curriculum. Phase 2  is evaluating the efficiency of the curriculum and improving the curriculum, consisting of two steps, which are (4) implementation of the curriculum and (5) evaluate and improve the curriculum. Target groups are kindergarten students, year 2-3, SiriratWittayakarn School under the Office of 


SakonNakhon Primary Educational Service Area 1, 2nd semester, academic year 2018. 34 students were selected by using purposing sampling method. Analytical thinking preparation course for early childhood was examined and evaluated by five experts, focusing on the suitability and consistency of the curriculum’s components. The statistics used in the research were percentage, mean (gif.latex?\bar{x&space;}), standard deviation (S.D.) and t-test for dependent samples.


The study yielded the following results:
                 1. Analytical thinking preparation course for early childhood at SiriratWitthayakhan School under the office SakonNakhon Primary Education Area 1 consists of  six main components: 1) Principles 2) Curriculum objectives 3) Content 4) Experience arrangement 5) Media materials and 6) Measurement and evaluation.
2. In terms of the efficiency of the preparation course for analytical thinking for early childhood at SiriratWitthayakhan School under the Office of SakonNakhon Primary Educational Service Area 1, it was found that 1) knowledge and understanding of analytical thinking of children after using the curriculum is higher than before using the curriculum with statistical significance at the level of .01  and 2) analytical thinking skills are at a high level.
