The Development of Movement Therapy Activities for Bodies Balanced Efficacy Promoting in Elderly.

Abstract

The paper shows my research with two objectives; 1) Developing a movement therapy and its application for the knowledge to promote a balanced body among older adults efficiently; and 2) the results from participants who went through the movement therapy. My study consists of twenty seniors who were between the ages of sixty and sixty-nine years old with no health conditions. The duration of movement therapy was 55 minutes twice per a week for 7 weeks. The exercise has three parts; 1) warming up for fifteen minutes; 2) movement therapy for thirty minutes; 3) cooling down for ten minutes. Thus, my research shows how 1) I have developed and integrated the movement therapy with these physical exercises inspired by the teaching methods of theater and music to be creative. Then finding quality of research tools and 3 part of estimation approach form 1.Warm-up exercise 2.Therapy movement activities 3.Activities for relaxation which examined. 2) Analysis of balance before and after activities. Hypothesis test by Paired-Sample T-Test found that stabilization effect before took the therapy movement activities was less than after took the therapy movement activities in statistically significant at 0.01. It can be concluded that the elderly are able to stabilize themselves after participating in the Therapy movement activities. Statistically significant at 0.01.
